About me
Ted’s educational journey has taken him through three provinces. He began his career as a classroom teacher in Saskatchewan, and spent many years in British Columbia on the North Coast and in the interior as a teacher and principal. He returned to the prairies to a principalship in Alberta’s Capital region. He has worked with a variety of schools from K-12 including schools that specialized in serving the needs of Indigenous students and gifted students. His professional journey, training, and experiences, especially in the area of conceptual learning, have provided Ted with a sound understanding of a variety of instructional pedagogies. Currently, Ted is an independent contractor and educational consultant. He provides support in the area of curriculum and instruction, and through the Alberta Professional Learning Consortium (APLC), he has co-led professional learning opportunities for teachers piloting and implementing the new Alberta K-6 Science Curriculum.
