We Become What We Celebrate-Peter Katz
Thursday February 13, 2025 11:45am - 12:45pm MST
Splintered work forces, remote working environments and marketplace disruptions are making
it harder than ever for workplaces to follow through on their mission, values, and goals.
Building and transforming cultures needs to evolve through a series of processes and activities
that will inspire employees to sustainable action. Fortunately, one of the most impactful
solutions is also the most joy-filled — if we want to be aligned with our highest values, we need
to celebrate them.
In his newest keynote concert, Peter Katz shows audiences how to harness the remarkable
power of celebration. Far from superficial pleasure, Katz’s version of celebration is a co-created
experience that can revolutionize individuals and teams before, during, and after their most
pivotal moments. It is based on the goal of helping people realize that they are not alone and
that rather than constantly focus on the negative, there is a human necessity to band together
and relish in the potential moments of success that lie ahead.
As a Juno Award-nominated and internationally recognized singer-songwriter, keynote speaker,
and facilitator, Katz understands how to create the right container to identify and amplify our
brightest milestones and propel ourselves towards our biggest wins yet.
Audiences will learn:
• How to co-author an elevated and growth-oriented company culture.
• How to uncover the hidden victories within their organization.
• Practical steps to create the right “container” for celebration to thrive, supercharging an
organization’s goals, mission, vision, and values.
• Evergreen exercises for developing a deep sense of belonging and connection within
teams (a critical ingredient for impactful celebration).
• How to increase individual and collective resilience and give work a greater sense of
purpose.

Dr. Shimi Kang - “The Fire of Our Time”: How to Maximize the Benefits and Minimize the Risks of AI and Tech
Friday February 14, 2025 10:30am - 11:30am MST
“The Fire of Our Time”: How to Maximize the Benefits and Minimize the Risks of AI and Tech
In her latest book, The Tech Solution: Creating Healthy Habits for A Digital World, Dr. Shimi
Kang describes technology as “the fire of our time.” Harnessing the power of fire was a major
step in human evolution — those who did it well went further and farther and those who did
not, burned down the village.
We are at the same pivotal moment in human history with the incredible power of tech in the
palm of our hands. AI and new technology hold the promise of finding a cure for cancer, climate
change, and unimaginable advances in health, community, and culture. Yet, screentime is
linked to anxiety, depression, and addiction with blue light correlated with the disruption of our
metabolic rhythms, sleep disorders, diabetes, and heart disease. And, AI has the power to
disrupt age-old institutions and paradigms while exercising influence over our thoughts, beliefs,
community, safety, economies, and geopolitical landscapes.
In this informative presentation, Dr. Shimi Kang equips audiences with the tools to harness the
power of AI technology and optimize health, connection, and innovation while steering clear of
the serious dangers of the echo chamber, persuasive design, addiction, polarization, and toxic
tech. By simplifying sophisticated neuroscience into the five ingredients of a “tech diet”, Kang
provides a solution to one of the most vexing issues of our time and puts audiences on the path
to successfully master the fire of our time.
